American History Day

All dressed up and ready to go to a Ball.

Can't go to a party alone. Abigail with her great friend BNS.

Abigail's 5th grade class all dressed up for American History Day.

Abigail was choosen to be the lead dancer for the Virginia Reel. She was so excited.

She had a great day doing crafts, hearing Civil War stories,
taking strolls and being waited on by the boys at lunch.

Memorial Day

Our day started with a flag ceremony and pancake breakfast at church. We came home and got our garden planted (pictures to come).

So, then we could head over to our great friends the Pulley's to swim. Memorial Day is the start of the swimming season thanks to the Pulleys heated pool. Pulleys thanks for a great day of swimming, great friends and great food.

Day 2

We did pretty much the same things as yesterday. Ate breakfast and lunch watching television, rescued before Dad came home and just hung out at home. A few other things we did were playing in the snow

Such a Rachel picture
Samuel looks so sweet and so willing to get his picture taken without his brother here :)
They were playing so nice with each other

And the they played Guitar Hero ( for the third night in a row :) )

And Rachel practiced the piano for 40 minutes! It's true (I watched the clock). She didn't practice the day before and I told her that she had to practice today and she said that she would make up for yesterday by practicing 40 minutes today. We maybe at a break through! :)
And finally, here are some extra pictures that I took today because I had my camera out

And the three girls. I think this is really cute.

Day 2- also success. Day 3- bring it on :)

Day 1

We ate lunch while watching a movie in the den (Shhhh! don't tell Dad... :) )
They rescued... when asked! (Wow)
This is Samuel's idea of putting things away, put them on the stairs for people to trip over later...
Abigail thought she would be funny and eat upstairs (again, don't tell Mom or Dad...)
And when Dad came home... clean! Clean table

 Clean counter
No dishes in the sink (except the ones that must be washed by hand)
 No mess!
They even put their dishes in the dish washer! (I think something happened to my real siblings...)

What does all of this mean? It means a happy Dad and happy children!

Overall, it was a good day. No fights, no huge messes, and we are all still alive. That is what I call a good day. :)

Day 1- success. Day 2- we will have to see... :)

While Mom is away...

As most of you know, my mom is going to New York City for a few days to stay with our grandpa while he has surgery. This means that I will be with Abigail, Rachel and Samuel for most of the days (except Friday when Dad is working from home). Hopefully all goes well and we are still alive and the house is still standing on Sunday when she returns. Wish us luck!
